The West Windsor Police Department recently received several reports of suspicious vehicles and suspicious activities. The first incident occurred on September 20, 2007. A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of Finley Lane. The vehicle was described as a grey or green Buick sedan. In this case a license plate was recorded by the caller. This information was provided to the Police Dept. a day after the incident. Upon follow up by the Detective Bureau the registered owner was found to be from Newark, NJ and in the area for a legitimate purpose. No child was approached in this incident.

Two unrelated incidents occurred on October 18th 2007. One incident occurred at 9:50 am and one between 3:00 – 3:30pm. In the 9:50am incident a nine year old female Maurice Hawk student attempted to play a joke by running after a bus, as though she had missed it. The bus had passed her stop and was not her bus. After running for the bus, she was approached by a white male described as having grayish hair, balding and wearing glasses. The male, operating a black four door sedan, stopped and asked the student if she needed a ride. The student quickly returned to a group of friends at the bus stop. This incident occurred at the corner of Birchwood Court and Jacob Drive.

The second incident occurred between 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM was in the area of Slayback Dr. and Braemar Dr.  This incident involved a white male described as being between forty and fifty years old with brown hair and a bald spot.  The white male was operating a 2003 or 2004 silver Honda Accord.  The white male approached a 12 year old boy while the boy was riding his bike. The boy quickly left the area on his bicycle.

At this time the intentions of the individuals involved in the October 18th incidents are unknown.
